The story starts on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro in the 1980s. As a young girl, the founder and also the original La Carioca model, Vanessa Frota, held her mothers hand heading toward to the sea to cool down. She wore an artisan white and orange striped crochet bikini handmade by her mother.

As an environment enthusiast I absolute LOVE La Carioca gym sets because I know they’re unique in terms of quality, colours, patterns, and they use items ethically sourced in all creations. My favourite bikini set is an artisanal crochet design, handmade gorgeous pieces I’m always so proud of wearing them . All collections are stunning, proving that slow fashion rocks, specially when it has a Brazilian touch. Highly recommended!

I have been purchasing and wearing La Carioca outfits for a good while now, from gym active outfits before, during and after pregnancy and I have to say they have been the most comfortable I have found in the market. And the lovely swimwear.
Good quality and they fit perfectly.

Eu comprei várias coisas já da La Carioca, desde roupas de academia e muitos biquínis… a página do insta sempre ajudou muito na hora de escolher, a Van sempre muito bem atenciosa na ajuda pra achar o tamanho certo. Feliz com a marca crescendo, gostaria de dizer que super recomendo cada produto da marca, tudo se encaixa perfeitamente 💚, produto de altíssima qualidade qualidade, os biquínis parecem que foram feitos à mão pro meu corpo. Muito feliz com minhas comprinhas.
